If rain on your wedding day is good luck, Andrea and Enrique's marriage should last at least a century together. Their wedding ended up landing right at the tail end of South Carolina's 1,000 year flood. When I first arrived at the venue, the entire parking lot was full with water from high tide. Still, after heavy rain all weekend, the clouds did manage to cease their downpour every so often and we were able to start the day with a first look on Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant. When the rain and wind kicked up again we headed across the creek to the Cottage on the Creek to wait for the ceremony. Again the rain and tide managed to subside right on time and the ceremony went off without much trouble. By the time the reception started, everyone was glad to be inside and kick off the party. I quickly realized that I was in a room that seemed to be filled with professional dancers. The night was filled with dresses twirling to salsa music and the smooth moves of the guys as the dipped and spun their partners. The only break came when, despite the rain restarting, Andrea and Enrique decided to brave the outdoors and embrace some photos in the storm. The soggy but very happy wedding ended with an awesome bubble send off. Thanks Andrea and Enrique for making so much of your day and for including me!
